Come and see Lancashire's largest surviving mill steam engine running!
We have a very special day coming up with our next steaming of 2016!
Come and see us this Sunday and witness Lancashire's largest surviving steam mill engine running, a second steam engine under restoration (that has reached a very exciting stage, with only the valve timing to go and can now be ‘turned over’ on electricity!), regular guided tours (subject to available volunteers), weaving demonstrations, a flaming antique boiler, café, gift shop and a collection of model steam engines to view, with some hopefully in steam.
A special feature next Sunday will be a visit from The Lakeland Historic Car Club who will bring some very interesting and special cars for us all to enjoy. There is disabled access, free parking, a tea room, the gift shop, a large collection of model steam engines and a fascinating historic cotton mill to explore.
Dogs are welcome (on a lead).
